I had to decide where to go for my birthday dinner. It had to be special, something everyone would love and needed a lot of variety, that’s why Tullulah’s came to mind. Tullulah’s menu changes with the season and focuses on local seasonal items, that’s something I’ve always had respect for.
Do you ever want to go out with friends and family and not feel bad about what you’re eating but not sacrifice amazing flavor either? Then it’s time to check out Tula Kitchen in Bayshore! The meals they are serving up are health conscious and delicious.
I had the pleasure of joining 9 other foodies who have their own food accounts (I have them listed below this review)to come together and attend a tasting at Athenian Greek Taverna in Commack! Now its your turn to experience (as much as you can through a screen of course) some of the amazing food we had to eat at our tasting.
It was fun dining at the former Beachtree Restaurant in East Islip, but it was definitely time for a change. Beachtree was the first restaurant my family went to when we moved to East Islip, I remember walking over with my sister and eating there while we were taking a break from moving into our new home. Watching the construction from my house was torture because
I hope everyone had a great Mothers Day! Every year we treat our mom to Blackstone Steakhouse in Melville. The service is always great and the food is incredible, you can learn more about our dinner in my review of Blackstones Steakhouse below.

Volare is so much more to me than just another great italian restaurant. It’s where I met my boyfriend Rich for the first time and where we go for our yearly anniversaries now. The food is always outstanding, the staff is incredible and the wine glasses are huge. This time we went to Volare to meet up with family and friends to enjoy dinner together. One of the things I love about Volare is
This Flaxseed Bowl is my new go-to in the morning, I got the inspiration from the acai bowl and the hot flaxseed pudding and combined the two. It’s gluten-free and the flaxseed and chia seeds are full of omega-3s and will help you stay full and satisfied all morning. Plus with your choice of toppings like fruits, nuts and others like coconut flakes, seeds and spices you can add in more vitamins to start your day off right. You can even enjoy this recipe hot or cold!
The fridge has been broken for over a week and a half now and we are starting to get creative on how we store our food. We have a little cooler going and we switch out the ice pack throughout the day and plan our meals well so that we don’t have to worry about storing left overs in the fridge. I was thinking of a recipe that I could make that didn’t have to be refrigerated after and that is healthy so I could still stay on tract. That’s how I came up with my recipe for Gluten-Free Banana Nut Muffins.
