EB Elliots FreeportSome of my fellow Food Bloggers and I were able to try EB Elliot’s on The Nautical Mile in Freeport. This was my first time here and I had heard that EB Elliot’s has a new Chef, so I was excited to give this restaurant a try!  Chef Casey Kennedy has created a whole new menu for EB Elliot’s that’s very impressive and is a must try. Keep reading to see the pictures and my review of our tasting at EB Elliot’s!

EB Elliots FreeportNext we got to try some of EB Elliot’s appetizers. Lots of seafood and seasonal plates like Butternut Squash Ravioli were brought to us (my personal favorite types of appetizers) they were all delicious and left us even more excited for our entrees!

EB Elliots FreeportCoconut Shrimp

One of the appetizers served was Coconut Shrimp. It was sweet, crunchy and paired with a sweet glaze. It’s a classic done very well!

EB Elliots FreeportCrab Cakes 

Every seafood restaurant must have crab cakes on their menu, but not all of them take the time to perfect them. EB Elliot’s crab cakes have big pieces of lump crab meat in them, fried until they’re crispy and seasoned perfectly!

This appetizer includes diver scallops and crab meat with a pink blush sauce. I really liked The Scallops Virgo because the breadcrumb and crab topping on the scallops paired well with the creamy blush sauce.

EB Elliots Butternut Squash Ravioli

This dish had ravioli stuffed with butternut squash with roasted squash and a brown butter sauce. This plate was a nice break from all of the seafood. It’s the perfect fall menu item, everything was seasoned well and cooked perfectly!

 

EB Elliots FreeportTuna Tostada

This eye catching appetizer has many layers of flavor to it! This tower includes layers of seared tuna, Asian slaw and fried wonton skins. It’s topped with seaweed salad and is served with a wasabi crème and soy glaze. This is a great appetizer for seafood lovers!

EB Elliots FreeportSpicy Shrimp with Quinoa

This dish is healthy and delicious, I was so impressed with this entrée! The shrimp was cooked perfectly, the sauce had a kick to it and the quinoa soaked it all up. There’s also asparagus in this dish so you get a lot of good benefits and flavor from this dish!

EB Elliots FreeportFilet Sinatra

This gorgeous steak is topped with gorgonzola butter and served with a lobster tail and mashed potatoes. A red wine demi glace is paired with this fantastic dish. This is a great Surf & Turf option for customers!

This next entrée was another great fall menu item! This entrée included a perfectly cooked pork chop, served with a sweet potato and apple hash along with a root beer demi glace.

I saved my favorite entrée for last. I can’t begin to explain how incredible this entrée was! It was definitely the star of the show and it stole my heart. The pasta was cooked perfectly, there was shrimp, scallops and lobster served over pappardelle with mushrooms and sundried tomatoes in a beautiful pink blush sauce. While all of the other food bloggers were putting the tables left overs into to-go trays, I was taking the pasta from my plate then holding it over my to-go plate and eating it instead of saving it for later. This is a must have entrée!

We definitely did not have room for dessert but we knew we couldn’t leave with out trying EB Elliot’s desserts! First up was the Pumpkin Spice Tiramisu Martini which included pumpkin spice latte soaked lady fingers, mascarpone and an egg custard topped with whipped cream and a caramel drizzle.

EB Elliots FreeportRaspberry Cheesecake & Chocolate Truffle Mousse Cake

To end the night we were given a raspberry cheesecake and a chocolate Truffle Mousse Cake. Even though I was stuffed from eating way to much food it did not stop me from indulging in these desserts! You definitely want to make sure you save room for dessert!

I’m very grateful to have gotten a chance to try the incredible food from EB Elliot’s! We were all very impressed by Chef Casey’s new menu and make sure you get to try it for  yourself! Chef Casey told me that EB Elliot’s was nominated ‘Best Seafood Restaurant’ and ‘ Best Restaurant with a Water View’ for Bethpage Best of LI 2018! So make sure to vote here!
