For the last two summers my boyfriend Rich has taken me to Montauk for my birthday. It’s such a great chance to indulge in amazing food while enjoying incredible views. Montauk is known for the beaches and the hot sun, but we spent the entire time checking out our favorite food spots. I have some exciting news to share as well, keep reading my review to find out more!
Montauk ~ 2017
Toast Coffee House
It has turned into a tradition for us to start our trip at Toast in Patchogue. Toast never fails to send us on our mini road trip full, satisfied and even more excited for our mini vacation! For breakfast I chose The Splendid Benedict, This includes; two perfectly poached eggs with crispy avocado fritters on a toasted English muffin. Topped with olde style hollandaise and my favorite part, maple bacon crumbles! The home fries were crispy and well seasoned which made this perfect breakfast even better.
What’s our first stop after a long drive? It’s always Montauk Brewery! Walking distance from our hotel it’s the first place we go to after we check in. My favorite beer is the Watermelon Ale (pictured above) as well as the Guardsman Stout which uses Ace’s cold brew coffee. They always have a great selection of beers to sample and drink, flights and merchandise on site!
The Inlet Seafood
One of THE BEST seafood restaurants you’ll come across in Montauk is The Inlet Seafood. Great food, great company and a gorgeous sunset go very well together. We started off our meal with Oysters. There’s something about eating fresh oysters while sitting by the water that they came from that makes the whole experience even better. Next up was the Blue Claw California Roll, recommended by another food blogger I wanted to give this one a try. The Blue Claw California Roll lived up to recommendation, it’s a very simple roll but all of the flavors really stand out. For my entrée I ordered the Shrimp and Scallops Penne Pasta, this creamy pasta was incredible! For dessert we ordered the special of the night, The Chocolate Peanut butter Pie. This was the perfect way to end an amazing meal!
Anthony’s Pancake House
The next morning we made our way to Anthony’s pancake house. I ordered the house blend coffee and the Nutella French Toast. I normally don’t like sweet breakfast items, after a couple of bites I just want something savory. To my surprise I couldn’t stop eating this and I wanted to come back the next day to order the Nutella French Toast again! Rich got the Oreo milk shake with his breakfast, it was massive but definitely delicious. We were really impressed with our breakfast at Anthony’s Pancake House!
We decided to go to Gosman’s Dock for lunch, right across the water from The Inlet! The view we had from our table was incredible. I started lunch off with a Dark & Stormy ,then ordered one of their special sushi rolls of the day, it included spicy salmon, yellow tail and avocado. The flavors were extremely fresh and flavorful. Next I ordered the lobster roll, as you can see above it’s pretty impressive! All of the food we had at Gosman’s Dock was amazing, and for the exciting news I was talking about before? One of my pictures from Gosman’s Dock made it on to Long Island Pulse! To see my feature and the picture that made it, click this link:
