New things are always happening, I’m so excited to be adding a travel section to Bani & Chai! Food and travel go so well together and can be the most memorable part of traveling. My first travel post will be from my most recent trip to San Diego for Lisa Sasevich’s Speak to Sell Bootcamp. This was more for business than vacation but we still enjoyed great meals along the way!
San Diego Zoo
This has to be the greatest zoo I’ve ever been to! If you ever find yourself in San Diego make sure to go here! We took a private tour so we got to see way more than we would have on foot. For lunch we all had the bacon cheese burger which was much needed after a full day of travel and we also fought over this Salted Caramel Cookie Tart!
We stayed at Paradise Point Resort and Spa for the event. Each morning we went to Barefoot Bar and Grill for breakfast. The first day I had the Coconut Acai Bowl, the second day I had the 10K Breakfast and the third day I caved in and got the Coconut Acai Bowl again because why not.
You probably noticed that I skipped lunch and that’s because it was held at the event buffet style! We stuck with the Barefoot Bar and Grill because out of the three choices at the hotel it was our favorite. Also since my mom is allergic to fish we avoided the seafood restaurant and the other restaurant was a pizza parlor and we’re from New York so why would we do that? The First night I had the SD Chicken Sandwich, the second night I had The Pork Chop with zoodles and a cheesy corn croquette and last but not least the last night I had the Herb Crusted Chicken with Goat Cheese Mashed Potatoes.
Cinco de Mayo
Since we were in San Diego on a business trip during Cinco de Mayo we didn’t get to celebrate much but, I did get to enjoy this Pineapple Margarita in between the courses! Have you ever been to San Diego? Let me know in the comments below!
