It was fun dining at the former Beachtree Restaurant in East Islip, but it was definitely time for a change. Beachtree was the first restaurant my family went to when we moved to East Islip, I remember walking over with my sister and eating there while we were taking a break from moving into our new home. Watching the construction from my house was torture because I was so excited to have such a nice restaurant in East Islip. I’m hoping this inspires new restaurants to open on Main Street in East Islip.
H2O Seafood and Sushi Review
Top: First up we ordered Clams on the half shell, it was very fresh and went well with the cocktail sauce.
Bottom: The Tuna Tartare was incredible. The tuna was mixed with fresh avocado, topped with crispy fried shallots and sat in a lemon soy sauce.
Top: The Montauk Roll was amazing, it was creamy and had the perfect amount of spice. In the roll it had spicy tuna, avocado, tempura, lobster, yuzu mayo and eel sauce.
Bottom: The Triple Threat Roll was my favorite. Its very simple ingredients but the flavor profile was still very good. In the roll it had spicy salmon, tuna, yellowtail and the cilantro that added a clean finish to the roll.
Top: I ordered the Tear Drop which was a layered chocolate hazelnut mousse and almond sponge cake, with a chocolate crunch bar and vanilla ice cream. One of my favorite dessert combinations is chocolate, hazelnut and banana so I obviously enjoyed this dessert.
Bottom: Rich ordered the Peanut Butter Banana Split. It was our favorite, it included both vanilla and chocolate icecream, bananas, crispy peanut butter and chocolate ganache.
